Hi Chris,
When users logon to your Terminal Server their local printer is being
redirected. If the users logoff of the server the redirected printer from
their first session is not deleted. When the users log back on to the
terminal server, the local printer is redirected and creates a second
instance of the same printer on the Terminal Server and appends the session
name to the string.
To solve this issue, I suggest you install the hotfix outlined in Q318939.
After you apply the hotfix on the Terminal Services computer, clear the
printer client caches for all client computers. To do this:
1. Remove any third-party print drivers and print monitors from the
Terminal Services computer.
2. Clear all cached printers from the registry on the client computer.
Redirected printers are cached on the client computer in the following
registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Terminal Server
Client\Default\AddIns\RDPDR\<Printer>
