Client only rules

I can't find "client only" in my Outlook 2000 help. I suspect some of my spam
filter problems come from having some apply on the Exchange server and some on
my PC.

Specifically, I want to create whitelist type filters, but I want them to apply
to all of my SPAM and offers to patch Windows. Therefore I can't have any
filters on the Exchange server if the whitelist filters are on my PC.

So what are "client only" rules and how do I determine when a rule is going to
be applied in an Exchange environment?

Any rule that can be handled completely by the Exchange server is a server
rule. Anything else is a client only rule. For example, a rule that
filters by sender or recipient and deletes the message is a server rule. A
rule that files a message into one of your personal folders is a client only
rule, because your personal folders are on the client side.
