Hi:

We have a vendor selling us an application using Access
2000 Project and using Crystal Report objects for the
reporting, and I am just learning about this type of
Access file. And am most familiar with Access 97 and just
getting my feet wet with Access 2000.

My questions are:
1)Does Access 2000 Project connect to SQL Server 2000? I
read someplace that it only work with SQL Server 7.0.
2)Does it require SQL Client licenses to be purchased?
3)Do client PCs need any Access 2000 licenses purchased if
they don't have office 2000 loaded?
4) How can these Access 2000 projects be distributed and
installed on client machines? Can you create like a .exe
file as in VB 6.0 for distribution?

Thank you sooo much in advance!

yes.

No.

Your best course is to purchase one Office Developer product. It comes with
royalty-free license for the runtime version of Access, that you then
distribute with your project to the clients.

Not exe. Runtime Access will run ADP or (better) compiled ADE - but it won't
be able to see the code or modify the design.
