I uninstalled this client on a DC and now when I try to reinstall it, I get component could not be added: access is denied

I am builtin\admin, domain admin, etc

I even took ownership of the files on the server... still no luck. Also, did a repair on windows, uninstalled the nic, etc

any ideas?

TIA

Hi Darren,

Go through this article. This is most likely your issue as the Netlogon service does not get the
right dependency when you reinstall Client for MS Networks.

Thanks,
