This is very unusual and I can't understand what the problem is.
Any component that I install for networking, all works absolutely fine.
But when I install Client For Microsoft Network (which I would like to
use!!), the connection to my broadband internet service fails in two major
ways.
1. DNS fails, although Pinging an IP address works fine.
2. NO outgoing packets will leave the computer, they are all blocked.
The problem isn't the firewall, as you would expect, and IPSec nor Filtering
is enabled.
As soon as the Client is uninstalled, all is good.
This is giving me major problems, Telnet, VPN and File and Print Sharing
refuse to load. But all other TCP/IP traffic continues as normal.
It is clear that TCP packets aren't being sent to the internet, yet ICMP is.
Can anyone think of a possible solution?
Any help GREATLY appreciated.
Thanks and Thanks.
