First of all, enable keep alives to make disconnected user
sessions go into the disconnected state:

If your LAN users are being disconnected, I would verify
that you have a server-class network card in the terminal
server, as well as having a high throughput switch on the
backbone of your network. Have you also tried updating
the network card drivers of the NIC in your TS?
