I have a user who's VPN connection to our Win2K3 PPTP VPN server disconnects
for apparently no reason after a few minutes being connected. Sometimes it
disconnects after 5 minutes, sometimes it lasts 30 minutes.

Fun part is at their house their wife, another user here with our company,
is connecting from the exact same laptop (Dell D600 via wireless G), same
access point and ISP connection at their house and connecting to the exact
same server and her system never disconnects, stays on for days on end
without a problem.

Anyone know what could be causing this?

Thanks!

Scott

it could be the MTU issue. check this page for the details,

vpn drop connection
The both offices can browse over the VPN without problem. ... Resolution: modify
the MTU. Related Topics. How to modify the MTU ...
