client could not find dc?

I have a client machine that i had not authenticated with for a while. when
i tried to logon i got a message that it could not find a dc. well usually i
have no problem with this. so i connected the machine to our network and
logged on fine. was this a secure channel issue, did the secure channel need
to be re-established or synced?

appreciate your help...
 
If it was a secure channel, the you would get an error, that The computer
account in domain is missing or it has a wrong password. Otherwise it was
probably a DNS problem, as your computer could not find a DC. Windows
2000/XP/2003 rely on DNS to discover DC's.
