Some of the clients on my network are at times unable to
connect to our Terminal server. They get a logon local
policy error. Then a few hours able they are able to
connect again, then later they are unable to, ect. I
have rebooted the server, reinstalled terminal services,
reinstalled terminal services on the clients. Help would
be appreciated. Thanks.

Can you post the exact text of the error message and any
relevant eventlog entries?

Excact message is "The local policy of this system does
not allow you to logon on interactively". Nothing shows
up in the Event Log. Thanks.

Anyways...That error is typical when your clients/users
don't have the "log on locally" right However, seeing as
how this error only happens sporadically, I doubt that
this is your problem. It almost sounds like your system
is losing its connection with the domain controller, and
thus the terminal server can't determine if it is alright
to let these users logon through terminal services (which
is a local logon). Does this sound plausible?

This server is also a file server and I haven't heard of
any clients losing connection with it. It doesn't seem
to be losing any kind of network connection with the
other servers. Some of the terminal service clients
never have a problem connecting. It seems like it only
ones I have added in the last month or so. If I remove
them from the DC Security Policy list then add them back
they are able to logon for a few days, then the error
occurs again.
