I have serveral users who have begun getting the
message "Because of a network error the session will be
disconnected".

The RDP Connection is set to unlimited connections ( I
found that bulletin ), I tried setting it to a fixed
number of connections much higher than the number who
would ever connect- it made no difference.

I noticed that the users who could not connect were listed
as having TS licenses with expiration dates that had just
past (even though there are plenty of TS licenses for
everyone to have a permanent license and these users had
been working for over a year).

I removed and reinstalled TS Licensing ( it is on the
Small Business Server ). After doing this EVERYONE was
unable to connect and received the above error, I
removed/reinstalled licensing again and went around to all
PCs and deleted MSLicensing registry entry. Then all but 2
PCs (different PCs from those who originally had a
problem) could not connect.

I have installed Win 2000 sp4, but this problem existed
before installing it and the problem has not changed since
it was installed.

Has anyone seen this? Any solution to this short of
completely reinstalling Windows 2000 Server?

Thank you,

Rod

Are there any eventlog entries created when those two
clients attempt to connect?

Is your license server activated? If your clients are not
Windows 2000 Pro or XP Pro, do you have TSCALs installed?
