Clicking twice to go to next slide when video is inserted

Hey all,

Is there a way around the apparent behaviour of having to click twice
to proceed to the next slide when a video is in the slide? The first
click seems to stop the video, the second then proceeds to the next
slide.

This is kind of annoying - and I can't seem to find a way to change
this behaviour. (PowerPoint 2007)

Thanks!

Mike,

I don't believe there is away around this.

The 1st click is telling powerpoint to 'finish' what it's doing.

If this was an animated build up bullet list, then each click would (if the
anim has started) to tell powerpoint to reach the 'end point' of the
animation. It's the same with video.

If the video clip as played (at least once), then I do believe it will go to
the next slide.

Yes looks like your right, if it plays once it will proceed. I think
that'll be ok, as during the actual presentation this video should
loop several times by the time they have finished speaking.

Though as a customer, I'm suprised MS hasn't allowed for a way around
this behaviour, as it's annoying for "non-technical" people.

Thanks!

I think an action button > next slide would do it. The button could be
invisible (99% transparent) if you wish
