Everyone once in awhile my computer just starts making
this clicking sound when I left click on links and
pictures, files, etc. on the internet. It doesn't do it on
my desktop, though. Only once I get to a file. It drives
me nuts. Any ideas as to why it does this? Thanks.

The sound to which you are referring (I think) is Internet
Explorer's "Start Navigation" event (when you navigate to
a new URL in IE it makes a click sound). To disable this
feature, do the following:

- Double-click "My Computer".
- Double-click "Control Panel".
- Double-click "Sounds".
- In the "Events" window, under "Windows Explorer,
select "Start Navigation".
- Set the "Name" field to "(None)".

Oh, my God! You're my hero! Thanks so much for telling me
how to get rid of that clicking sound. It was driving me
crazy. Not sure how it got changed, because I know enough
to make it say "none" and I'm the only one who uses this
pc. Thanks again.

No problem... anytime =)
