Clicking on search - nothing happens

When I click on Start-Search, nothing happens.
I have Agent Ransack installed - would that have done this?

Thanks - I've run it, still absolutely nothing!
Think it's a repair install time!

Before trying a repair install, you may try a System Restore rollback (if
this has occurred recently)

I'd thought of that - another little glitch! My system restore settings are
set to the maximum disk space - i.e. 493 MB yet it's only showing three
restore points available - this morning, and two yesterday when I
re-installed Office XP.
How many restore points should 493 MB give me?

In my system, one restore point consumed 44MB. And I have 8 restore points
totally.
