Hi there
Whenever i click a link i get an empty white box, i have to right click
and open in new tab, but that dosen't work every time, also dosen't work
when i need to click a button when i try to right click a button it
comes up with macromedia and settings. To fix the problem i tried
several things, updating java i even looked into jar compression as
that is mentioned in java somewhere, i restored internet settings to
default and also security settings, i thought it might be my firewall
so i turned it off briefly and clicked a link no change there, i am
wondering if it might be internet explorer?
Any help will be very much appreciated.

Hi beanie2blue,
Try this open a Run Command and type in:
regsvr32 urlmon.dll click [OK]

regsvr32 oleaut32.dll click [OK]

One command at a time and Reboot your machine.
HTH.
please report back.

Thank you so much for all your help I cant believe it's working, I had
a look at the sites you suggested and from that I decided to upgrade to
internet explorer 7, months of wondering what on earth the problem could
be, so gratefull thank you.
