How to fix this: When I click in one cell in Excel 2007, 5 to 8 cells in the
same row are automatically selected. It does not matter which cell I click in.

Did anyone answer or come up with a solution?

I am continually having the same problem. Usually it is 2-3 cells in a row. It just happens. In other parts of spread sheet I can click in one cell just fine, but in others it automatically groups 2-3 rows together, sometimes columns, and then if I tab, I just keep tabbing in circles. Very frustrating.

No one had a solution. I finally fixed it (it was easy but now I don't
remember exactly which setting to change) by doing a google search for the
problem. As I recall, there were several website hits with the solution, none
of them related to Microsoft. I've also had far better luck solving several
other Microsoft problems by searching the net rather than using Microsoft.
They're pretty much useless. All I usually get from Microsoft is no
information or geek speak.
