Been using Outlook Express 5.0. No problems till recently.
When I go to hit a link in an e-mail it just comes up a
blank IE screen. Does not even say "done". Tried
dowloading and installing 6.0 but no difference. I use an
ISP, Windowns '98 SE, Pentium3, 128mb ram 10gb hard drive.
Have scaned disk and defraged. Spent 8 hours and still no
luck. So I am here. Dell

This newsgroup is for support of Outlook 97, 98, 2000 & 2002 from the Office
family for Windows PCs. For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in one
of
these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...blic.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress
for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ublic.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...;newsgroupsmicrosoft.public.internet.mail.mac
for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgr...ess.mac&SLCID=US&sd=GN&id=fh;en-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found here:

Yeah, okay this newsgroup is for Outlook. I have the
exact same problem in Outlook 2002. The problem just
recently appeared. I always used to be able to click on a
hyperlink in an email, and it would open a browser window
and go to that page. Now when I click on a link, I get a
blank browser window, and the address bar is blank. I
have to manually cut and paste the link to the address
bar of the blank window to go to the web page. I also no
longer have the ability to define a hyperlink in emails
that I create. I think this loss of functionality may be
related to a recent security update to Outlook, but I
don't know that for sure. And I would appreciate an
answer from anyone who does know.
