I have just stumbled on the proposal for the new CLI dialect for use with a future version of the visual C++ product

Does anyone have timeline details for when an alpha from Microsoft will be available for experimentation

Since, I've avoided the managed C++ dialect up until now, I'd rather not have to begin
learning/working with the current Managed dialect/idioms if possible

From the docs and several ms's blogs its sounds like a experimental version of the product might be available already or very soon given the timeline for ECMA acceptance.

Thanks in advance

As far as I know that won't be an alpha made available and the first public
time you will be able to experiment with the bits is Beta 1 which is in the
late Spring sometime.

That's right. The new sytax will be introduced with Beta 1.

Okay I am a little vague on late spring.
I would think that means no sooner than June 1. :
Sigh..... Guess I just may have to buy the c# compiler, too

Thanks Sam.
