Does anyone know of a registry edit or anything other than
tweak that will clear the run command history? I am
responsable for about 2300 computers and often use "hidden
sheares to install from desktops. But it leaves the trace
in the history of the run command. I am looking for and
edit the will clear the history when restarting or
shutting down.

Thanks in advance...

Try using Group Policy. I believe the setting in user
configuration/administrative templates/start menu&taskbar. Set clear history of
recently opened documents on exit to enabled. It should also work for run box I
believe. Of course you have to evaluate if that setting will cause grief with
users. I am not sure if there is a registry tweak just for the run box. ---

Have you considered putting some permissions on the shares?

I found this, but I don't know if it'll work:

To manually clear the run history, following these steps:
Click Start, Run, and type REGEDIT. Click OK.

Locate the following key in the Registry:
HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Run
MRU

Blank all the values on the right side of the RegEdit
window, except for the (Default) entry. Or alternatively,
write a regedit script to blank the values.

When you restart the machine, the Run history will be
cleared.

you should be able to do this through the group policy...if not you could
try out microsoft's tweakui application...i will change the registry for you
to clear out run histories, etc.
