I have been having seeing other computers on my local area network (Win
XP Sp2).

When I try and 'repair the connection' I get the message:

Windows could not repair the problem because it could not complete the
following action: Clearing the DNS Cache.

Can I do this manually? how?
Thanks

I have done this now through 'Administrative Tools' > 'Services'. (I
have set it on 'Manual' and 'started' it.)

At re-boot, the 'startup type' is still 'Manual' -- but I still get the
same error 'Cannot repair... cannot complete 'Clearing DNS cache')

1) Start > Run > CMD <Enter>

2) IPCONFIG /FLUSHDNS <Enter>

3) Reboot.
