Clearing the Contact Folder

I've tried importing a file from Excel, and unfortunately what I got was 95,000 empty contacts in my folder! I want to get rid of these folders and try again. How can I do so? I'm using XP and it won't let me delete the contacts folder. What should I do?
 
If you use a list view of the Contacts folder you should be able to do a
'select all' and then delete them
