I saw you had checked the Registry but perhaps you used the wrong
search?
It should be TypedUrls with no space.
Clearing History should clear the typedurls but they will be here in
the Registry.
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs
Your description sounded more like AutoComplete than TypedURLs but
that should be easy to check. If it is in the 25 possible dropdowns
when you click the arrow on the right of the Address Box, it is in
TypedURLs.
