Upon opening up from the Start menu I would like to simply clear whatever search items I have currently in the window. Example: let's say I have searched for New York Rangers before and I do a new search for say New Republic. My first search item, and others, will always pop up. I just want to clear that search bar. Hope I am articulating this ok. Thanks.

Hi there Jack,

To clear Search History under Search, download patch from here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/ClearRecent.Exe

To clear the history of the RUN dialog box, download patch from here:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/runmruclear.reg

Clear History of Typed URL's:
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/typedurls.reg

Usage: Double-click the file and answer YES when prompted.

You may also follow these steps:

1. Click Start, choose Run, type "Inetcpl.cpl" (with out quotation marks)
and click OK.
2. In the corresponding window, under General tab.
3. Click delete files, delete cookies and clear history buttons.
4. Click ok to exit out of Internet Options.

So the Very BEST to you. Please let "US" know what happens. And take care,
too.
