In the control panel is Java, under that is java cache resources. If I clear
old settings out and later find it caused a problem will they be rebuilt.
Put differently can I clear the temporary files in Java safely. It seems odd
to me that they caution only experienced users to modify this file
considering that it is a TEMPORARY file.
TIA Mel

Hi Mel,
If it is Temp file you will clear there is no problem I can see here.
What do you mean when you say Old Java, what version of Java you had now?.
Clear it and if any thing happen you always can reinstall Java on your
machine.

Thanks Nass that's about how I see it also. Using 1.6 version.
I questioned it only because they cautioned and refer to it as "temp file"
as well as "cache resources".
Will give it a day for warning replies then delete away.
