Clearing History

I go to Tools>>Internet Options>>>Clear History and the
history seems to clear because it doesn't show up in the
history sidebar, but when I close IE6.0 and restart it
all of my history shows up again. Any idea why? Can I
fix this?

clear history,delete files(off line content too),delete

cookies too.Then,start,all programs,accessories,system
tools,disc clean-up,run your drive thru(check everything
but compress old files,and run.

With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

History problems can be caused by the ActiveX Control filters in McAfee
AntiVirus. If you disable the "Active X Controls" filter under the Internet
Filters in VirusScan the IE History should work properly.

Or, your History folder may be damaged.
Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder and a new one will be created when you restart.

Or the History folder can be deleted manually:
