Clearing History

Why is it when I clear the temp files, cookies, and
history it does not clear??

Even if I have a program to clear it all it still doesn't
work half the time.

Can anyone help??

Barry,
With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.

You might need to delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart.

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Another program might be locking your history.
