I recently installed Windows XP Professional in my
computer. Since doing this, I am unable to clear my
history, address bar, and URL. I can only assume I am
missing a cookie or something that is required to enhance
my efforts. Can you advise me please?

You should be able to clear histroy from the Internet
Options in Control Panel. To clear the address bar and
URL open Internet Options, click the Content tab and then
click on the Auto Complete button. In the auto complete
window disable Web Addresses. Now when you press the
Clear history button on the general tab it should clear
the address bar and url. You might also change the 'days
to keep pages in history' option to Zero. This means that
only one day is kept in the history folder.

Hope this helps

Hightlight it with your cursor (mouse), then click
backspace and all is gone. Cookie? Be serious.

Go easy on PJ, he must not know or he would not come here for answers. Just
because he said something about cookies is no reason to jump on with a wise
crack. It tells me he does not know that much yet and truly needs help.
Every day there is more people just starting out with this. Some of them
even use the internet with training wheels, a.k.a. AOL. Everyone had to
start at some time, and for some it is easier to use something a monkey can
use...like AOL. As time goes on they find out they do not have to have an
ISP that swamps them with ads and spam, and they go out and get a real ISP.
