Clear Search History-HOW?

Clicking in search windows such as Google and I.E. leaves a history of
everything ever searched for. Is there a way to delete the searched
criteria?

To clean the Autocomplete history of Search, Forms etc:
Open Internet Explorer (6)
Tools > Internet Options > Content tab
Click "Autocomplete" button
Click "Clear Forms"

To clean "History" of web pages :
Open Internet explorer (6)
Click "Clear History"

Thanks. I have IE 7 now and it was slightly different but basically close
enough to follow your instructions.
