"Clear History" hangs

During the last few weeks, when I use the "clear history"
button, I get an hourglass and the computer hangs for up
to 10 seconds or more. It never used to do this. It
even does it when I have nothing in my history folder.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Possibly your History folder is corrupt:
[XP\2K]
Log on as Administrator and delete the desired <username> folder(s).
[example]
"C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\HISTORY"

I'm been reading you responses. Guess what they suck. You
look like your reading out of a book. We want answers not
