Everytime I click the "Clear Forms" button under Autocomplete, the windows
stop responding. This just started happening recently & I haven't made any
changes to my machine. I'm running XP Pro SP2. Any ideas? Thanks

I've been able to pull some of the error data:

szAppName : rundll32.exe szAppVer : 5.1.2600.2180 szModName : hungapp
szModVer : 0.0.0.0 offset : 00000000

It could be that the section of the registry where this info is kept is
damaged. Delete the registry entries as defined below, and see if that
fixes the issue:

These are the keys involved, but as you will see they are encrypted.

AutoComplete, User Names and Passwords on Forms:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\IntelliForms\SPW

AutoComplete, Web Addresses:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Protected Storage System
Provider\<user name or windows logon name>

I am having the same problem. I cleared Intelliforms/SPW but I can't find
Protected Storage System Provider. What does that mean? I am running XP
Home SP2.

I did not have any success trying to fix it this way. But I was told by
someone else on this forum to try a program called CCleaner
http://www.ccleaner.com

Not only did it remove all of the stored forms, but it somehow managed to
stop the freezing as well. Maybe this will work for you? Just make sure when
you're about to run the program that you check the box on the left side for
"autocomplete form history" since it's not automatically selected for you.
The only downside is doing it this way deletes all saved passwords as well.
But it's a small price to pay if it fixes the problem.
