I know that by using Tools / Internet Options / Clear
History, I can clear the drop-down Address Bar entries.

But it doesn't clear the Ctrl+O popup box. How can I do
that, without turning off ALL my auto-fill forms, which
would lose the form info? I just want to clear the Ctrl+O
info, ideally one entry at a time (selectively), but if
not that, then all of them together.

Thanks for any help you can offer!

Hi,
Clearing History should have cleared those. You may have corruption in the
History folder or it's index.dat file.

To delete the damaged History folder- a new one will be
created on restart:
http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/delcache.htm

Free History Eraser from
http://smartprotector.com/eraser/free-history-eraser.htm will delete the
History folder in Windows 9x,2K, XP.

Two other points with regard to "Can't clear History."
1. With no IE windows open, try it from Control Panel> Internet Options>
General> Clear History.
2. Another program might be locking your history.

Hope this helps,

Thank you, Don, for your help! I will try your
suggestions and see if they work. The thing I noticed,
though, is that the history *does* clear, since from the
Address Bar, everything does get wiped out. And Ctrl+H
history shows blank. It's only the Ctrl+O items that
still persist.

But I hope your hints work. Thanks again for the
response -- I really appreciate it!
