Hey,
after using a third-party-ink my photosmart 3210 (photosmart 3200
series) doesn't print black anymore. I tried replacing the ink by
original HP ink but it did not help. Of course I first tried the
cleaning process without success. Unfortunately this printer has build-
in printheads so I can't change them.

Has anybody ever built the printhead out or found another way to clean
it?

Thank you for any idea.
KAi

This is more proof on why one should never use aftermarket ink sold by the fly by niters.  Why it turned a photosmart 3210 into a photodumb 3210.

The solution you are looking for is go get another HP printer (if you like it) and use HP ink or better yet get a Canon IP4500 and use Canon ink.

No only will you not have trouble but you will get longer lasting more fade resistant prints and much better color quality.

The print heads in these printers are described by HP as long life. If the
printer is in warranty you should call HP and ask them to fix or replace the
printer.
The chances that the problem was caused by compatible cartridges is almost zero.
If not in warranty, I believe there are some cleaning cartridges available,
perhaps you could google for them and order a set from a supplier in your
country. Worth trying.

The printer is only two years old... so much about "long life". HP
gives only one year warranty here.
I can't believe, too that this was caused by the cartridge, but fact
is: it isn't printing black anymore.
I don't find any cleaning cartridges on google and I've never heard of
them, are you sure about that?

I'm not sure about this printer, but I think the printhead (or printheads)
is user replaceable.

No I'm not sure, I saw a reference to cleaning cartridges for this printer but
have been unable to find a source.

No, unfortunately the printheads are not replaceable, like currently
in all other photosmart all-in-ones btw. I asked the support about
that. They said the only possibility is to send it in (on my costs of
course because it is out of warranty). And this is the reason why I
would never buy such a photosmart again.

Unfortunately, this specific hp printer uses ink cartridges without
including printheads (the printheads are in the printher). So, cleaning the
printhead is a difficult task, you should clean all ink cartridge, pipe,
printhead. There is a high possiblility the printhead be empty (I don't know
it's design). And because you said it's not removable, I suppose it should
be a more difficult task.
Not all hp inkjet printers are designed this way. More printers have ink
cartridges which includes printhead, other printers have replaceable
printheads.
