The Windows XP CD is bootable and contains all the tools necessary
to partition and format your drive. Follow this procedure and allow
Windows XP to delete all existing drive partitions:
1. Open your BIOS and set your "CD Drive as the first bootable device".

2. Insert your Windows XP CD in the CD Drive and reboot your computer.
3. You'll see a message to boot to the CD....follow the instructions.
4. The setup menu will appear and you should elect to delete all the existing
Windows partitions and you're done! Then remove the Windows XP CD
from the drive and hit Ctrl + Alt + Del. The drive is now in a "Raw" state.

| I just purchased a new computer and am seliing my two older models. Both of them have to hard drives, each.
One has Windows XP Home and the other has Windows XP Pro. Before delivering them to the buyer, I would like to
format the drives to delete all data and programs, minus the operating systems. BUt I cannot seem to find
how/where to do this with these editions of Windows. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
