Hi, I did a search but came up empty. My printer is leaving black
marks on my paper and especially when I try to print an 8 by 10
picture. I tried cleaning those little rollers with a damp cloth and
also Q tips but I can't get them clean. Is there something like
cleaning paper I can run thru the printer? If not does any one have
suggestions? Thanks.

I have found an A4 piece of paper sprayed with Windolene not wet buy damp
can clean most roller problems, you may have to use more that one sheet,
then a clean one. Use paper that does not break up when damp.

Had this problem on HP DeskJet. Found some cleaning paper at Staples. Worked
fair as it was too dry. I saturated this paper with 70% rubbing alcohol let
excess drip off then ran thought printer 4 times with out rewetting. Then
ran several sheets of regular paper until it came out clean. Works OK now.
You might try wetting card stock to see if that works, but it may tear up.
The stuff from Staples is strong with fibers imbedded. WW

You can try taking some student watercolor paper and spraying it lightly
with some ammoniated window cleaner and running it thorugh the printer
using the load and eject buttons, several times then flipping it over
and doing same, unless paper starts falling apart. If the ink comes
back, likely either a cartridge is leaking at the ink "spike" when the
cartridge is punctured, or a hair is under the head and it is siphoning
some ink via capillary action.
