I noticed that my cards and boards are covered in dust.

I have no compressed air (I could blow on them), what is the safest way to clean boards (cables, etc).

Thanks

I recommend difluoroethane. It can be had for less than $10 at any good
office/computer supply store. It's a liquid under pressure and comes with a
5" plastic capillary dispensing tube. I have "Dust DestroyerTM". I use a
vacuum cleaner in conjunction with a blast of gas so that flying dust is
extracted from the air.

Since they banned the ozone layer depleting solvents for cleaning flux
during manufacture, there's been water soluble fluxes and boards washed with
water.

You just have to make real sure its completely dry before powering up again.

I've heard tell of small manufacturers putting boards in a dishwasher while
they waited for updated cleaning plant to be installed.

Perhaps a bicycle pump? Put a nozzle on the end.

I've got a fan heater. Heat off blows cold air!

Only other 'equipment' I've got for this job is paint brush, tap water, cloths.
