iISystem Wiper allows you to clear the history of your activites from you
computer. Many programs store information about your activieties on the
computer. Some of this information is easy to clear, such as the History,
but other information can be hard to locate and clear, for example the
cookie index file. iISystem Wiper allows you to clear this information with
a click of a button. In addition to the lack of privacy this stored
information causes, the files can also take up large amounts of space on you
hard drive. Internet Explorer's temporary files can take up hundreds of
megabytes of space. iISystem Wiper will even automate the process of wiping
clean your computer. All you have to is select what items you want cleared
and iISystem Wiper will clear your computer everytime it is shutdown.System
Wiper 2.2 allows you to clear

- History, Temporary Files, and Cookies from Internet Explorer
- History, Temporary Files, and Cookies from Netscape
- Windows list of recently used files
- Find File History
- Find Computer History
- Run Program History
- Recycle Bin
- Windows Media Player Recent Lists
- Information Peer-2-Peer programs save about your actions
- Microsoft Office Recent File Lists
- Custom Items using Plugin Editor

From the faq:
"iISystem Wiper does not have the ability to securely delete file.
iISystem Wiper Pro does however have this ability."

i.e. it's useless crippleware!
(a pleonasm)

Now, where is it that Zino asked for secure deletion?

Zino asked for something similar to Evidence Eliminator - secure deletion
is the main thing EE keeps touting.
Also, instead of putting it down, why not add a recommended program
that is freeware.

Well, Spybot itself does a secure delete of things (cookies, Mrus,
whatever) it picks up (you can use it to shred other stuff too), and MRU
does a secure delete of the TIF and cookie index.dat files, then use
http://www.heidi.ie/eraser/ (there are other freeware alternatives but this
one appears to be the favourite) and the scheduler to catch the rest.
Between these 3 , you should be secure enough.

MyIE2 browser shell.

http://www.myie2.com/

It stops popups, too.

Thanks all for the advice --- I have eraser --- Looking at all reco's --
where can I find Spybot and MRU --
Zino

No, not sure. Security is not an issue with me.

Thought so. Though it does appear that security/privacy is a concern with
the OP who asked for a Evidence Eliminator alternative, so it might be a
good idea not to recommend myie2 in such cases.

I highly recommend MyIE2 for people who wish to hide normal family activity.
For example, I eradicated a web site where I got one of my wife's Christmas
presents. What in the world are you trying to hide that's so important
anyway? Never mind. I don't want to know.

Eradicated? What Myie2 does is no different from clearing the cache
normally in IE. You don't need Myie2 to do that. I have to test further,
but I suspect, like IE, myie2 does not clear the index.dat, which will show
which sites you have being to.

Beats me too, but that's what the OP asked for, so we should respect his
wishes instead of trying to recommend stuff that only fits our own use.
