clean-up hangs

Can somebody help a friend who has no internet connection at the moment.
She told me today that when she runs disk clean-up in XP it hangs, any ideas ... anybody?? Please?

Usually it stops responding while compacting files,the fix at microsoft

Anne, go tho this link and download the the reg file on line 48 right
hand side. Disregard the undo label.

Save it to your desktop and copy to a floppy. Take it to your friend.
To install double click the file and answer yes to the question about
importing to the registry.
