Our small Win2K network (6-8 users) was hit with the
WORM.AGOBOT.T worm and thru the (manual) cleaning process
i was forced to wipe out a few key files on everyone's
workstations. To remedy the havoc that's creating with
everyone's applications, i am considering just re-
intalling Win2K on each workstation, to give my users
a 'fresh start'. Is this an advisable couse of action,
and if so, will Win2K install itself over a pre-existing
installation, or does it wipe the HD clean (thus wiping up
everyone's local settings)

I have no idea how i got stuck with this task.

IT guy by administrative order, not by choice...

Squeaky!

While performing an "in-place upgrade" (installing the W2K operating system
on top of an existing W2K operating system while preserving the
applications) can be done, I suspect it will not refresh the registry keys
targetted by the worm.
