What to do?
My WinXP configuration became corrupted and was spontaneously rebooting at
login, so I made the move to Vista. I bought the upgrade version and did a
clean install after formatting the partion that held WinXP. When running the
second "upgrade" install so I can activate Vista, it fails on the
installation of a component. Probably the last one as it 45 minutes to get
to this point... I've tried this 3 times with the same effect. Right now
I'm up and running fine with a unactivated install of Vista. What are my
options? Can I just enter the product key after 30 days? Can I "trade-in"
my upgrade key for a regular activation key?
Any help is very appreciated.
