After 2 days of cleaning I finally have my hdd free of virus & all
such junk.
Question:
If I set a restore point now & later it becomes infected again can I
go back to this restore point & loose all the infections or will they
remain ?
Another question:
I have a second hdd that may be infected so if I run it as a slave to
the clean hdd will it infect the clean hdd ? This is a backup drive &
is almost identical to the clean drive.
Thanks for any advice

as far as I know (I dont use windows restore points) this windows
feature only restores only "special" points of windows (files,
configurations etc.). To get a complete restoration of whole HDs,
partitions you need an image creating application. I use True Image from
Acronis for all my (often daily backups). Naturally these images must be
done BEFORE any infections (virusfree) otherwise you would restore any
infection back!

Answer:
If you get infected again, you haven't fixed the problem: stopping what
you did to get infected in the first place.

Practice Safe Hex.
