Hi, can anyone tell me how to switch Windows XP Pro to the classic
ctrl-alt-del logon screen of
Windows 2000?

Right click on My Computer, Properties, Select Advanced tab,
Click on Performance Settings, Select Adjust for best performance.

WinXP will switch to classic ..Win2000 performs much better
than XP after all ...:)
 
I agree and did the same thing with my XP Pro.
There are several things that I like better in Win2000.

Two other main things you may have to change:
1. You will still have to modify what happens when you select the Search
button from the Explorer Browser.

2. You also need to modify how Windows Explorer opens.
