classic icons - I wan them back!

How can I replace the cartoony XP 3D icons with the classic Win 98 icons.
Is it possile to switch them in the .dll? If so how? It's a minor thing but
the look is annoying me big time. Thanks.
 
Control panel click on Display icon. In display properties click the
appearance tab. In the section marked 'windows and buttons' click the arrow
on the right of the box and select 'windows classic style'. Click OK to exit
 
Thanks, John, but that is the very first thing I did when I installed XP Pro.
It changed the general layout appearance but not the icons. I've been all
over the system folders (SHELL32.dll) but can't find them anywhere. If they
should be there why weren't they installed? Any other suggestions?
