classic(emi) mp6410 mp3 player

I have the above mp3 player and recently tried to install it on my new pc
which is running win xp media,problem is windows is calling it a lcd example
device and doesn`t recognise the drivers i have for it,this is not a problem
on my wifes comp running xp service pack 2 which recognises it and the
drivers quite happily.
Assistance most welcome.
