I am sure the developers of AntiSpyware were forced to do
this. But it renders the product a joke. What is to
prevent Micorosoft from completely ignoring all together a
spyware company's software that they have a financial
interest in, or for any other marketing, or bogus reason?
I will not be using this product on our XP workstations
where I work! nor should you.
From a pure business liability point; putting all of your
eggs in the Microsoft basket is not a prudent thing to do.
If you are a mostly Microsoft shop (like where I work) I
recommend using other companies for security products.
This latest development just sent the point home for me I
guess.
So long MicroShaft AntiSpywere, the phase of the moon
changed, you grew fangs, hair and showed us how
"Trustworthy" you really are. You get deleted in exchange
for either Webroot or Sunbelt. So long, end of story.
What's the next bonehead, idiot idea you come up with so
that I finally decide to change over to Macintosh? It's
looking pretty good now, the barriers to changing keep
getting lower and lower.
I refuse to apologize any longer about the operating system
I've chosen to use in the past. Trying to make Windows XP
SP2 the last upgrade I ever install?
It is still a threat.
It is still prevented from loading by real-time protection.
All that has changed is the suggested default action when it is detected in
a scan.
