Hello! We just installed City of Heroes. Am running WinXP
w/ plenty of space left. Shut off virus stuff, etc.,
downloaded all updates (windows & router firmware) and game
STILL crashes every time we try to load it. Any help or
direction would be greatly appreciated.

Hello... You're on the right track, it probably is due to another
application running in the background causing problems

I'd recommend pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL going to processing and then closing
each one down that's running under your login name (ie not system or
services).

Need a little more info - as in how (lock up, bluescreen, etc) it crashes,
where (initial window, login window, when game starts) and any messages...

You could also try NCSoft's website (or just cityofheroes.com.)

Hope you get it running. It's a LOT of fun.
