cisco router: delete entrys

hy 2gether,
i have an cisco-router and have to change the DNS-server.

but i dont know, how to delete an entry?
i can add new name-server to the router, but cannt delete the 2 old ones...

anyone an idea?

I don't know what you're asking. If you need to know how to change the IP
configuration on your Cisco router, you need to have a good working
knowledge of Cisco IOS - if you don't, you may well paint yourself into a
corner. Try a Cisco forum....

If this isn't what you're trying to do, please repost with more detail.
 
You have to get into the enable mode. Type enable and
enter. This will prompt for the enable password. Once
you are in then type config terminal and enter. Then type
no name-server XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX and hit enter. Just change
the X's to the name or IP of the systems you want
removed. Once done hit ctrl-z to get out of config mode.
Make sure to type copy running-config startup-config and
hit enter to save the changes so if you restart the router
that it does not revert back to the original settings.
