Circular formulas - how do I correct?

On Excel 2007 I am seeing a circular reference indication on a tab at the
bottom left of a couple of my spreadsheets. One in particular refers to some
entry located at A65537. I never use sheets that large! Nevertheless I
checked out all the cells in each subsheet (there were seven) and deleted row
A65537. Despite this I still get a Circular Reference error on my
spreadsheet.

I also get a circular reference error on another spreadsheet where I add two
numbers - which is pretty easy to check - even after checking the error
message remains. In older versions of Excel you could track circular
references quite easily. I find even with track precedents that no apparent
error is found. Am I missing something here?

I get a similar thing. I have a column of values ... either 0, 0.5 or
1. At the bottom of these I have a Countif, counting the ones. For some
reason it thinks each of the 0, .5 and 1 are circular references. Plus
I have circlular references down to about row 65000 ... No idea why or
how ...
