I need to add scroll text (CHYRON or crawl) on Powerpoint....
Its perfect if solution is FREE and if i can add that scroll from another
computer in network in background, but to show all in main one in real time.

Hope i don't ask too much :)

Thank you

This is fairly easy and free. It will work in all versions of PowerPoint
from 2002 up.

Create a text box that is the size of the slide. Fill in your text up to
_but not more than_ the height of the slide. Add a custom animation for
Entrance => Credits. If all your text fits in this one box, great, your
work is done. If not, then it gets a little more complicated.

With text that did not fit into the first text box, follow these steps.

1) move the text box off of the slide image
2) Copy it and place the new textbox over the slide
3) Fill the new text box with as much text as will fit into the height of
the slide
4) Add a delay to the custom animation of 1/2 of the time required to run
the credit textbox. the default speed is 15 seconds, so the delay on the
first copy should be 7.5 seconds. For additional text boxes (three thru
whatever) add an additional length of the animation (15 seconds) for each
copy to the delay.
5) Repeat steps 1 thru 4 until all text is accounted for
6) Move all the text boxes back onto the slide

Hmm yes... but i need to be separate thing... maybe with macro or
something... i have about 40 slides so its not good to have 20 text boxes
and when i need to change slide i need to do 40 times.... maybe exist some
separate program to work byself but visible (transparent) on PPS so both can
work together and makes a effect same like on TV you see....

Its kinda complicated.... but i hope solution exist :)
Thanks Bill

Animations from multiple slides can not run at the same time. If you have
40 slides of names to scroll, you will either have to accept a delay between
the sections of text (as the animation completes and the slide advances), or
convert them into a single slide (for seamless scrolling).

If you want a macro to convert 40 slides of names into text boxes on a
single slide, we can do that, but we'll have to know some things. Are all
the text boxes that exist in the exact same location? Are they all in
placeholders? Are they named the same? Do they have consistent font
attributes or are they varied?

In other word, how can we identify which box to import and how do we need to
import it? Keeping the names on separate slides makes editing them easy,
but limits how you can display them.

Probably i need to explain better my problem.
I work on some Internal TV channel on cable TV. PPS working non-stop. I have
solution to add new PPS without braking old one and all works smooth. But
sometimes i wanna put fresh infos on TV (top of the other slides)
I can send you my file i work on it. No problem. But problem is, chyron need
to be chyron... means need to work separate then other text or picture
transition on slide... and need to be unique for all slides (when opens
next slide long information still need to goes without braking and start all
over)

That chyron (if i use right word for characters movement from right to left
on TV) should work time by time when i wanna put fresh news into PPS. Should
look like all other chyrons on TVs.

I hope i explain my problem well. Thanks for helping me.
i hope you will find the best solution!

Regards
