This is fairly easy and free. It will work in all versions of PowerPoint
from 2002 up.
Create a text box that is the size of the slide. Fill in your text up to
_but not more than_ the height of the slide. Add a custom animation for
Entrance => Credits. If all your text fits in this one box, great, your
work is done. If not, then it gets a little more complicated.
With text that did not fit into the first text box, follow these steps.
1) move the text box off of the slide image
2) Copy it and place the new textbox over the slide
3) Fill the new text box with as much text as will fit into the height of
the slide
4) Add a delay to the custom animation of 1/2 of the time required to run
the credit textbox. the default speed is 15 seconds, so the delay on the
first copy should be 7.5 seconds. For additional text boxes (three thru
whatever) add an additional length of the animation (15 seconds) for each
copy to the delay.
5) Repeat steps 1 thru 4 until all text is accounted for
6) Move all the text boxes back onto the slide
