Recently whenever I try to do anything with IE6 (XP,SP2) I get the error
message:
Chyba , Cannot create file: C:\temp\test.ddd. If I push the OK button of
the error message, IE6 continue working, but after a while I get the same
error message. If I push the OK button IE6 goes on again, but the error
message comes again too. And in this way , step by step finally I can
perform what I want, but I have to OK the error message many times. What is
wrong ? How can I find the cause of the problem ?
Thanks, Peter

Doesn't sound like any message from IE or Windows that I've ever seen. What
is the exact and complete error message?

The exact and complete error message was:
CHIBA Cannot create file: C:\temp\test.ddd.
The strange thing is, that finally I created a C:\temp folder and copied
there an arbitrary txt file, what I renamed to test.ddd.After this the IE
worked without any problem. Finally I closed the IE, and examined what the
C:\temp folder contains.
There were two files in it: test.ddd with txt extension, and test with ddd
extension.
The first one contained the content of the original txt file, the test.ddd
contained trash.
And the IE works now without any problem.

....and if that's CHYBA it's Slovak/Czech for ERROR, which it definitely
appears to be :)
ddd is file extension for numerous sw products, Adobe Acrobat Distiller for
example. You should check what software is trying to write that file using
Filemon from Sysinternals >>
http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html.
It might not be IE but some sw that uses IE or installs its components into IE
