Chrome 7, went Beta

Google kicked out the first version 7 stable beta of its Chrome browser yesterday, Sep 30th, on the QT it seems.

Hasn't caught IE9 in the area of hardware acceleration in the use of the GPU, and still renders PCReviews' reply box abysmally.

Still, Google "products" are always a work in progress.

Holy smoke, that has to be the quickest download nd install I have ever done.
No more than 35 seconds to download. Double clicked the Chrome installer which told me to close Firefox, and it was there. I shall go have a play. I am a fan of firefox though so will have to see.

we all using Chrome 8 these days, but you should get the update.
