I'm trying to watch back TV shows that are on ABC.COM. The videos look very
choppy. The picture freezes for a couple seconds then jumps ahead. My
computer is:
AMD XP1600 processor 1.4 gHz
500 MB RAM
ATI All-In-Wonder Pro AGP 32 MB
12 GB free memory on HD
DirectX 9
So I thought maybe my system was just too slow. Then I tried my laptop and
it works great:
1.6 gHz processor
500 MB RAM
Radeon 9000 Video 32 MB video
17 GB free memory on HD
DirectX 9
I'm using DSL - I plugged the laptop into the same router port as the other
computer was using.
Sure seems the hardware is similar. So I'm thinking some settings may be
different, but not sure what to look at
Any suggestions what to look for to speed up the main computer?
